2011 International Conference on Neural Information Processing (ICONIP 2011)

Registration is now open for ICONIP 2011. The early registration deadline is September 30. After that, the rates will increase.

The preferred method for registration is on-line. Please go to the following link to register:

Registration indicates your commitment to attend ICONIP2011. If your plans should change and you can no longer attend, please notify the conference office immediately.


The conference registration fees include all sessions, plenary sessions, CD-ROM proceedings, opening reception, exposition, one banquet ticket, and three lunch tickets. Additional registration fees apply for the tutorials and post-conference workshops. All fees are quoted in U.S. funds.

Tutorials will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2011. Registrations will be accepted for each tutorial on a first-come, first-served basis until the available space is filled. The tutorial registration fees includes one lunch ticket.

The following three post-conference workshops,
(1) Brain-Computer Interface and Applications;
(2) The 4th International Workshop on Data Mining and Cybersecurity (DMC2011) together with the 2nd International
      Cybersecurity Data Mining Competition (CDMC2011); and
(3) Recent Advances in Nature Inspired Computation and Its Applications,
will be offered on Friday, November 18, 2011, at Liuying Hotel in Hangzhou. Workshop registration fees include all of the THREE workshops, three (one lunch, one supper, and one banquet) tickets, and a round trip (Shanghai-Hangzhou)bus ticket. The registration fees are:

*A letter of verification from the department chair or a copy of student identification card must accompany student registration. Any registration received without a verification letter or a copy of student identification card will not be processed. Fax the letter or the copy of student identification card to Ms. Xun LIU at +86-21-3420-4728.


Inclusion of a paper in the ICONIP2011 program and publication of a paper in the proceedings requires that at least one author for the paper register for the conference. Each regular or student registration covers one (1) paper. Extra fee will be charged for additional paper(s), if more than one paper are accepted. The extra fee is 200 USD for each additional accepted paper. Please supply the paper ID number(s) in the registration form to avoid possible delays.

Papers can be a maximum of eight (8) pages including figures, tables and references without paying extra charges. In exceptional circumstances, up to two (2) additional pages per paper will be permitted at the cost of 80 USD per additional page. For your paper to be included in the proceedings, extra page charges need to be paid in your registration.

Printed Proceedings
The conference registration fees do not include Printed Proceedings. You can purchase Printed Proceedings for 150 USD each set.

Extra CD-ROM Proceedings
Each registrant receives one copy of the CD-ROM Proceedings. You can purchase additional CD-ROM Proceedings for 60 USD each.

Extra Banquet Tickets (Wednesday, November 16, 2011)
As a registrant, you receive one banquet ticket. You can purchase additional banquet tickets for 60 USD each.

The deadline for author registration is August 15, 2011.If you register late, your paper may not appear in the conference program and the Proceedings.

Any registration cancellations must be made in writing directly to the ICONIP 2011 at the address given below. If received on or before October 15, 2011, ICONIP 2011 will apply a 50 USD administrative fee and refund the remainder of your registration fee after the meeting. No refunds will be given for cancellations received after October 15, 2011.

The 2011 International Conference on Neural Information Processing can provide you with a letter indicating that you have an accepted paper at ICONIP2011. This letter will include your name, the title of your paper, and will further state that you have registered for the conference. Such a letter may be useful when applying for a China visa. If you would like to have such a letter provided to you, please e-mail your request to:

Please note that such a letter can only be issued to registered conference attendees. When requesting this letter:

a) Please make sure that "Request for a visa letter for ICONIP 2011" appears in the subject line.

b) Include registration payment confirmation you received from ICONIP2011 in the body of your e-mail.

Also include the following:

  • Your full name (as it appears on your passport) - please use CAPITAL letters for Your family name (also called your last name or surname)
  • Your "pre-title" (Dr., Mr., Ms.)
  • Your complete job title (for example: BS/MS/PhD student, Research Associate, Assistant Professor, Director, Research Scientist (companies/ government) etc.)
  • Your affiliation (university, company, organisation etc.)
  • Postal address (this may be either your work or home address, whichever you prefer), make sure that you include room number (if required), building, street, city, state, postal code and country
  • Email address
  • Your ICONIP2011 paper ID number(s) and title(s).

This information is required so that we can send you an electronic letter of invitation, but it does not give you a visa or guarantee that the China embassy will grant a visa. Please allow 5 days for an email response, or 3 weeks for delivery of a "paper mail" invitation letter.
