Submission Guidelines
Prospective authors are invited to submit full-length papers by the submission deadline. The submission of a paper implies that the paper is original and has not been submitted under review or copyright protected by the author if accepted.
All papers should be submitted electronically via Online Paper Submission System. The format of the initial submissions must be PDF. The files of the final accepted papers should be in either Word or Latex. Enquiries on paper submissions can be addressed to the secretariat via email or phone.
All submitted papers will be refereed by experts in the respective fields according to the criteria of originality, significance, quality, and clarity. The authors of accepted papers will have an opportunity to revise their papers and take consideration of the referees' comments and suggestions, before submitting the final papers.
All accepted papers with paid registration will be included in the Proceedings of ICONIP2011, to be published by Springer as multiple volumes of Lecture Notes in Computer Science.

Paper Format
Papers must be single-spaced in one column format within an area of 122 mm x 193 mm with 10-point Times-Roman font. Each paper must not exceed 8 pages including figures and references (papers beyond eight pages are subject to page surcharge).  All papers must be written in English using the Springer LNCS (Lecture Notes in Computer Science) style, including all tables, figures, and references. It is required that the authors use the style file of Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (template files for MS Word or LaTeX2e) when preparing the manuscripts to ensure the uniformity of papers.

Manuscript Format Requirement
Please prepare your paper in the exact format as the sample paper for LNCS. Failure to do so may result in immediate rejection of your paper. Please read the authors' instructions carefully before preparing your papers. The sample paper and author instructions for LaTeX users can be found at and Springer does not encourage the use of Microsoft Word, particularly as the layout of the pages (the position of figures and paragraphs) can change between printouts. However, they do provide the relevant templates and sample files for PC ( and Mac (sv-lncs) environments. Please download .If you need more help on preparing your papers, please visit Springer's LNCS web page .
The final paper must be conformed to these detailed formatting requirements. A sample paper specifically for ICONIP2011 can be downloaded here. Each paper is allowed to have 8 pages in the final camera-ready copy without paying extra charges. If your paper is more than 8 pages without paying extra page charges (for the amount of extra page charges please refer to the Registration page) in the final camera-ready copy, we will not publish your paper and we will not refund your registration payment.
